It’s not hard to see why some of the best-selling appliances of the past half-century have fallen out of favor.
They weren’t designed with a whole lot of modern technology, but it still feels good to have a favorite from the 1950’s, when we were still living in a time when refrigerators were as ubiquitous as microwaves.
The ‘Vietnam’ and ’50s’ home appliance labels were pretty darned catchy, too.
It’s safe to say that the home appliances of our time have come a long way, even if we can’t quite put our finger on the reason why.
We know we’ll miss a lot of the great design from those great times.
So let’s look back at some of our favorite 1950s home appliance brands, and see what they were built for.
