An old adage about war in the kitchen can be used to explain why a brand like Kankakeee Home Appliance has been a target of war for a few years now.
The brand, founded in 2001, has been under fire since 2011, when it bought out a former rival in the US, Hoersch.
Kankakes was acquired by a Japanese company called Hoersche for $2.7bn in 2016.
The deal with Hoerscha included a large number of items from Kankookes range including Hoersches appliances and Kankaseks products.
The Hoerschiks brand also made its home appliances into household items such as kettlebells, water heaters and the latest home entertainment system, as well as the latest cookware and the home heating systems.
The Japanese company Hoerschen was founded in 1954 and has more than 50 brands including its famous Kankako Home Appliances.
Kankakeees competitors have been targeting Kankakese home appliances for some time now.
The company was bought by a German company in 2014 and has since been acquired by Kankaki Enterprises, which is now owned by Japanese conglomerate Toyota.
Hoersch was bought out by Kansai Industrial Industries Corporation (KIAIC) in 2013, and is now part of the company owned by Toyota.
KIAIC bought out Hoerschu in 2019 for $5.8bn, and in October 2018, Hoiesch announced it had completed the purchase of Kankai Enterprises.
Toyota is also currently looking to acquire the company, and Hoerschnet was acquired in December 2020 by KIAIIC.
A spokesperson for Kankaku Enterprises said: “It’s unfortunate to see an American company that is committed to our business go to war against a foreign company, which we consider as a competitor, but which we feel we can work together to make products for our customers that are better and more convenient than our competitors.”
Toyota and Kansaichai Enterprises declined to comment on the matter.
A company spokesperson said: We are confident that our products and our technology will help our customers make better products, while we will continue to work with Kankakis to improve our products for them.
